So as I promised I am going to post the better of the pictures from the LA Auto Show! I spent 2 days there and walked a lot so towards the end of each day I was too tired to take pictures. I do have some very nice cars depicted here. But first as I got off the metro this is what I saw:

Big &*$ Sign on a huge convention center! And all of it was cars! “Am I dreaming?” I though. Pinched myself and nope I was in LA on Wednesday morning going to one of the worlds best auto shows. So here it comes:

FORD

Unfortunately I arrived a little later than I wanted, and the first thing I went to see was the Ford section since that’s where the crowd was. They were introducing the new Ford Explorer… But this is what was introduced before:

This is the new 2016 Ford Mustang GT350. This is the Baby GT500, but still has a Flat-Crank 5.2L V-8 (naturally aspirated) for a most powerful naturally aspirated Ford engine with an unofficial hp of above 500 and more than 400 lb-ft of torque! This is going to be a beast!Nice coloring too! Just take a look at this 1966 Ford Mustang GT350, what a beauty then, and beastly now!

DODGE

So as you know I’m not the biggest fan of American cars, but after Ford comes Dodge. And you know this car down here is “a lunatic” according to Jeremy (Top Gear). And it looks like one. The 2016 Dodge Viper SRT:

Just look at that hood. Its actually very impressive. The wheel arches are part of the hood the lights are part of the hood, as well as all of the vents and such. Now look at that sway bar/ anti roll bar! And when you sit in this car you are so low to the ground, your butt is literally dragging on the concrete.

Not as impressive as the Viper but the Charger, in my opinion, gets better and better every rendition. Since the 2004 edition, which Ill just say I was not a fan of, It has grown into a very nice looking car especially the 4 door most powerful sedan ever! (At one point)

PORSCHE

You know now according to the schedule is was now Porsche time to release new vehicles, so I went over to the dedicated hall for Porsche, and as soon as you walk in this is what you see:

A Porsche race car! with slicks and… and … this is already cool, not to mention the second thing you see after you walk past this race car is this:

I don’t think any of these need any description, so I’m just gonna stare at that while writing this sentence…… Ok, next.

Well first I stayed at the Porsche unveiling of the 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS:

Not the best spot, but then again, who cares they all look the same right? Yea the CEO talked, yea all these people talked. Still a pretty good car right?

HONDA

Lets quickly stop by Honda since its nearby… This is the new Honda HRV, never before in the US but there have been HRV’s before in Europe and Russia, so nothing new just some new design and such:

FORMULA 1

Lunch Break! Lets just walk around and see what else is here. Ooh ooh, i found something, walking by the Infinity area. Yes Infinity, but this is not some family drive around its:

Yes the 2014 Infinity Red Bull Formula 1 Car! Man the engineering that goes into this! Incredible! I want to work there (not that I don’t like my job… but… Its and F1 team, and what kind of F1 team!)

BMW

Ok time for the BWM unveiling. Ill skip the 2 series convertible, which is cool, but its pretty much the same as the 2 series I drove in Florida, so here comes a video:

Yes these are the new BMW X5M and X6M. Yes they are SUV’s but you know these BMW SUV’s look pretty nice, with the M style body kits and all. But the best thing is the sound… oh the sound… at the end of that video? Just listen to it! (sorry for the shaky video its hard to hold my huge phone over peoples heads)

And no I am not going to forget to show some pictures of the BMW i8, which is a revolutionary car and if I had the money would own it in a heartbeat. I think its probably my favorite car. (Don’t tell the GTR this!)

Just the amount of curves this car has, and the wind tunnels that it has at the back (picture above) are so cool and so new, it seems like we have been transported into the future and are looking at this future masterpiece, I’m sure that if this car was made 20-30 years from now it would get the same reception as the i8 today.

MERCEDES-BENZ

Now right next to the BMW stand is the Mercedes-Benz stand. At first when I headed there I didn’t think there was going to be anything until I realized that they actually are unveiling (or already unveiled, since I came late) a couple of very cool cars. Lets start with the S600 Maybach:

This car is the epitome of luxury. Its actually longer than the traditional S600 which is already a luxury Mercedes, which is saying a lot. Let me find some pictures to put here cause I sat in this one and its like a first class seat in Emirates. Tables, Champagne, screens keyboards… the whole shebang. Here it is:

I’m not going to comment those and instead just let you enjoy. And move on to another and actually a sporty one:

This is the new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S. This is a car I have on my wall already, well the GT version I have. This one was a world premiere! This one sports a 4.0L V8 Biturbo engine. Might not sound like much but…. This is the first engine with a dry sump and the turbos in between the V. Saves space, and has 2 turbos!

LEXUS

The Lexus show was spectacular so here is a video with a picture of the new concept LF-C2… Nooooooo, I cant find the video. Well here is the picture of the car:

Pretty good looking no?  I saw a reporter go to try and sit in it after and he could not figure out how to open the door. There is a good reason why though. Its electronic, touch whatever you want to call it. You touch a pad, that’s touch sensitive on the “handle” and it opens the door. Cool huh? Probably not very practical. But still cool looking, here’s another:

Now to the ultimate Lexus ever made. Yes you guessed it the LFA, but I did not sit it it, its behind a barrier. They are just a little too protective of their LFA, maybe they should just let all of the reporters and people loose on it! Nothing will go wrong… right. Here it is:
